The running shoes worn by the famous athletes Harold Abrahams and Eric Liddel in the 1924 Summer Olympics, featured in the movie Chariots of Fire was designed by none other than Reebok Shoes Company. The Reebok was formed in the year 1895 by Joseph William Foster in Bolton, Lancashire. It was then known as J.W. Foster and Sons Limited. Reebok International Limited is a German based manufacturer of Athletic footwear, apparel, accessories and a subsidiary of Adidas AG. Reebok has spread footwear and Apparel factories in around 14 and 45 countries respectively, capturing a huge market share.

In 1980’s, Reebok Shoes was known for designing stylish yet comfy sportswear for aerobic, fitness and tennis players. With the increasing success of Freestyle for women, Reebok launched the well known athletic shoes for men known as Ex-O-Fit. It is similar to freestyle with low-top and hip-hop version but Ex-O-Fit has one strap unlike Freestyle hi-top with two Velcro closure Straps. Reebok Pump line was introduced in the early 1990’s which was designed with special features such as an air bladder, inflated by means of a small pump integrated into the tongue of the shoe, to fit properly to the wearer’s ankle. Apart from getting famous among the athletes for its fast pace without injury, it is becoming a popular fashion element. Reebok Classic trainer was a popular brand among the youth in UK for its leather upper with clean, simple and straight forward design. Similar to Stablemate Freestyle.
